The first completed Leave It Better project was a wall mural in honor of W.S. and Ethel Stuckey, who created the Stuckey's Candy Company here in Eastman, Georgia. Thanks to Christopher Johnson who did an outstanding job on the mural.
Founded in 1937, Stuckey's Candy became famous nationwide due to their many stores located around the country. Their most famous candy creation was the original pecan log roll.
A special thanks goes out to Mrs. Willie Nash and C.G. Coffee Trust for allowing us to use their wall to make Eastman a more beautiful place. We would like to also thank all of our sponsors: The Arts Guild of Dodge County, June Jessup, Gerry McCranie Trust, Jodi Reddock, John and Laney Reddock, Rogers Foundation, and Wes Southerland. A special thank you goes out to those that gave during our 50/50 raffle fundraiser. Without your generosity and kindness this project would not have been possible.
